Funing Temple, located in Yuanlin City, Changhua County, Taiwan, is dedicated to the worship of Mazu, the Heavenly Holy Mother. Its origins date back to 1726 during the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty, when immigrants from Fujian and Guangdong jointly established Guangfu Temple to enshrine both Mazu and the Three Mountain Kings. Due to differences in customs and language, Fujianese settlers later founded Funing Temple exclusively for Mazu, while the original Guangfu Temple was renamed Guangning Temple, focusing on the Three Mountain Kings.
